The December Northern Business Breakfast (NBB) was definitely a “Breakfast of Champions” and outstanding networking event for Adelaide businesses. In a first for NBB we convened a panel of Business Champions including Tom Zorich CEO of Zorich Group, Alison Miller Director of Vanguard Visions, Scott Boocock, CEO of Hegs Australia and Doug Laying former National Business Development Manager at Daikin. The champions were grilled on their challenges in business and learnings for all businesses by Rick Henke of the Northern Business Breakfast Committee, followed by a Q&A session with breakfast audience.
The business “Champions” felt positive about business opportunities in 2016 but stressed businesses need to have a clear vision and really know their market space. Margins and cash flow are tight but business can succeed in their niche sectors. Scott Boocock was keen to point out this even applies to manufacturers.
The breakfast was held in the more formal Crystal Function room of the Parafield Gardens Community Club and was sold out two weeks prior with 145 attending. The Rotary Clubs excelled again with fantastic Christmas Gift Hampers as lucky door prizes for a number of appreciative attendees.
The first Northern Business Breakfast for 2016 is on 24 February with Pricewaterhouse Coopers as speakers giving a heads up on key growth areas in the economy and how to position your business to take advantage of opportunities. Register now at: http://e.mybookingmanager.com/NBBFeb2016
