Polaris Centre Wins an Award

The Polaris Business and Innovation Centre was jointly awarded the Best Metropolitan BEC (along with Business Foundations Fremantle) last week at the national Small Business Development Conference in Melbourne.  The award was presented by the Federal Minister for Small Business,   the Hon. Michael McCormack MP.  Polaris was recognised for its robust service delivery model, services for small business intenders, management development programs, linkages with community groups and digital support.

Business Enterprise Centres Australia (BECA)  is the peak body for Business Enterprise Centres (BECs) across Australia.  BECs are recognised as the first and best point of contact for small business operators seeking quality business information, advice and guidance.  Each year BECA presents awards for exceptional performance of BECs and advisors.  These awards recognise “Business Enterprise Centres, their management and staff whose business practices, innovation and core service delivery has realised outstanding outcomes and economic benefits to their local communities.”
